Maybe the CIO cares - I mean, someone has to handle the help desk and tech support for the rest of us… and the our learners.
But what about Presidents, Provosts, Deans, and Student Success leaders? Should you, busy as you are, care about ServiceNow?
Here's why I think the answer should be a resounding yes:
Do you wish your admin assistant could add a field to your student withdrawal form today - to capture insights and customize retention efforts before a discouraged learner gives up on her dreams?
A working student changes job to an employer who offers tuition reimbursement - can you trigger a message letting them know where to go to apply for their employer's benefit?
What if you could automatically know when a student wasn’t scheduled for a clinical placement, that their graduation date is now at risk, and proactively reach out to additional sites?
How about this: an online student reports a broken laptop to the sevice desk. They can’t submit assignments. Shouldn’t that faculty member be looped in by YOUR system, instead of by the student once his hardware is repaired?
A new scholarship is discovered by your Financial Aid team. Letters of recommendation and transcripts are due in days. What if you could instantly connect eligitable students, their advisors, and FA, with built-in deadlines and reminders?
A learner misses class for the second time this week. The system triggers a check-in: turns out he’s homesick and struggling. Wouldn’t it be great to schedule a wellness visit or a tutoring session with a few clicks?
The digital learner experience is the student experience now.
The good news? The service desk tool you probably already own is actually a killer, AI-powered workflow engine - one that can unify the silos and bring you closer to your students - and your students closer to their goals - than ever.
Want to brainstorm ways to make it happen? Find me at ASU-GSV this week, or book a meeting via my website. I'd love to help.
